KAMPANYE SOSIAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEREKONOMIAN DUSUN PUCUKAN MELALUI PEMANFAATAN SAMPAH PLASTIK

Pucukan village is one of the isolated villages in Sidoarjo because it has difficult road access so that little information can enter the village and the limited jobs that available. Most of the villagers rely on jobs as ponds guard and fishermen whose income is small and uncertain. Villagers often littering because they don’t have trash bins, so the village environment is dirty. Processing plastic waste in a creative way becomes one of the solutions to economic problems. Through social campaigns, villagers are invited to learn how to process plastic waste creatively to create an products that have selling value. Data were collected by qualitative methods through observation, questionnaires and in-depth interviews, starting from demographic, psychographic and behavioral conditions. The results of data collection will be used in designing a social campaign that will guide villagers to think creatively in processing of plastic waste.
