The purpose of this study was to find out the problems faced by old building owners, managers, architects and interior designers in the adaptive reuse concept approach, namely by incorporating new functions that will have an impact on the physical history of historic buildings that have various reference requirements that must be adhered to and find out how to apply them. the right style of interior design and furniture in the new function of the historic building. Qualitative methods through historical studies to compare changes in form, aesthetics and old functions of the research object and through various interviews with building managers and architect practitioners as well as interior designers who handle revitalization work. Through this research, it is hoped that the adaptation of the gallery function in the new building of the Batik Keris Palace is in line with the visual character of the colonial cultural heritage so that the sustainability of this cultural heritage building is maintained and the interior changes made can accommodate the function of commercial spaces.
