Abstract

This article discusses multiculturalism in Singapore ideally creates a cultured state, but the reality of Singapore actually produces dreams that lull people into the stream of modernism. Based on field observations with Pulau Ubin as well as several areas in Singapore as the location of observation, got some statements and documentation about the condition of Singapore today. Creation focuses on the modernist phenomenon that shapes the dreams of society over the reality that culture should be practiced by society as the initial foundation of Singapore's current development. Sources of data obtained through a qualitative approach using interpretive methods of analysis with interview techniques. Creation using the Alma M Hawkins method of exploration, improvisation and forming and the theory of interpretation of dreams by Freud to uncover a dream created on the reality of Singaporean society. the results of the creation of the work of Installation and the work of Photos with Object Art. The purpose of creation is to explore the potentials of an abandoned culture by comparing the previous Singapore and Singapore periods currently packaged in the Fictive Dream theme.
