Abstract

E-commerce banner is a powerful visual tool for communication and a crucial component of promoting service or product. A good banner designis able to represent the brand image, inclusive and works for everyone. However, banner can be problematic, color-blind people have difficulties understanding information due to most systems are designed for people distinguish colors. It is critical for designer to be aware ofthe needs of people with color blindness.This study explores color perception of color-blind people and analyze the differences in color vision between people with and without color blindness. Descriptive qualitative methodisused to understand the conditions experienced by research subjects related to colors, perceptions and actions.The purpose of this study is to propose effective color schemes to be useful for designers to enhance the color planning, especially in designing for e-commerce that esthetically pleasing and meet the need of all people.
